The demand of a second consultation in relation to a specific neoplasic disease has gradually become a usual practice in Oncology.

The patient or a member of his/her family asks for other professionals’ opinions about aspects such as the diagnosis, the suitability of the therapeutic indication or about possible alternatives.

The petitioner should enclose as many clinical documents as possible (clinical reports, pathologic reports, and other complementary explorations) so that the multidisciplinary unit can assess them.

Once the case has been assessed the second opinion appointment is fixed. The report with the conclusions and our team’s recommendations will be issued as quickly as possible.
