From the first post-implant month onwards we establish a check-up programme which consists of check-ups every three months during the first 5 years in order to control:

1º.- Where the seeds are located, especially in relation to the risk organs (urethra and rectum) and to check whether the prostate receives the planned radiation.

In order to do so we do ACTs that allow us to build computerised models of dosimetric calculation around each seed.

2º.- Whether the radiations fail and therefore, the tumour persists. We do this through PSA.

3º.- The patient’s urologic state in order to care for urinary malfunctions in case they take place.
